radiation_protection_advisorRadon Centres Ltd have a long standing relationship with Professor Denman,  he is currently  working as our Scientific Adviser and provides independent scientific advice on radon & related issues.   After a career in the National Health Service as Head of Medical Physics at Northampton General Hospital, he has continued to work on research projects with colleagues at the University of Northampton primarily on radon, and its health risks.

Professor Denman has an international reputation in the study of Radon, particularly in work to assess when radon remediation is cost effective in both houses and the workplace, the health benefits of reducing Radon levels, and the increased risks if occupants smoke. He has published over 140 research papers, and his presentations at conferences across the world are well received.

With his previous background in the NHS,  Professor Denman has considerable experience as a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) in the use of X-Rays and Radioactive Isotopes in hospitals as well as having acted as RPA for other uses of Ionising Radiation.
