Personal dosimetry is required for compliance with Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 (IIRR 1999)
Commercial settings that pose a high risk will require employees to wear a dosimeter to monitor their exposure to radon concentrations.
High-risk areas affected are as follows:
- Any work under ground
- Controlled or restricted areas that will be accessed for longer periods than stated in the RPA report allowed
In accordance with the Government directive the action level for radon exposure per year is 6 mSv (six millisieverts)
